Joseph F. Yeckel

Joseph Yeckel is a fourth generation St. Louis lawyer. He is licensed in Missouri and Illinois and is a member of the bars of the Supreme Court of the United States and the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh and Eighth Circuits.

Mr. Yeckel graduated summa cum laude from St. Louis University with a bachelor’s degree in political science. He received his law degree from Washington University School of Law, where he served as editor-in-chief of the Journal of Urban and Contemporary Law.

Mr. Yeckel has public and private sector experience. During law school Mr. Yeckel clerked for the Honorable Floyd McBride at the Circuit Court of the City of St. Louis. After receiving his law degree in 1997, Mr. Yeckel clerked for the Honorable James R. Dowd at the Missouri Court of Appeals. Mr. Yeckel entered private practice in 1999 and has operated his own firm since 2009. As a private attorney, Mr. Yeckel has successfully represented individuals and businesses in a wide variety of legal matters.

Mr. Yeckel has been a featured speaker on appellate and elder law topics. He is a member of the Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis, the Lawyers Association of St. Louis, and the Civil Practice & Procedure, Probate & Trust Law, Elder Law, and the Solo and Small Firm Committees of the Missouri Bar.
